State Road 229 is a north–south state highway in the southeastern portion of the U.S. state of Indiana.
The southern terminus of State Road 229 is at State Road 48 in the town of Napoleon in central Ripley County. Going east, the road is concurrent with State Road 48 for its first 3 miles. It then strikes north and passes through Batesville where it crosses Interstate 74, then through Oldenburg and Peppertown. Its northern terminus is at U.S. Route 52 in central Franklin County near Metamora.
